Ruihan Li5th YEAR GRADUATE STUDENT
Ruihan is from Changchun, Jilin, China. She graduated from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2017, with bachelor degrees in Chemistry and Communication. Her undergraduate research in USTC with Prof. Hongbin Yao focused on nacre-inspired materials with high mechanical performances and organic-inorganic hybrid fluorescent nanomaterials. In the summer of 2016, she worked with Prof. Jiaoyang Jiang in School of Pharmacy, UW-Madison, studied the molecular mechanism and biological function of O-GlcNAcylation in transcriptional regulation. She was also a member of 2016 USTC iGEM team and won a silver medal in International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition held in Boston, MA. Besides research, she enjoys playing the piano and the traditional Chinese musical instrument, pipa.
