Tarryn is from Lexington, Tennessee. She graduated from Austin Peay State University in 2020 with a B.S. in Chemistry. During her undergraduate career, she participated in research under Dr. Fred J. Matthews focusing on the synthesis and NMR characterization of hexyl acetates. In May of 2020, she received the Austin Peay Scholarly Excellence in Chemistry and the George M. Rawlins, Jr. Chemistry awards.​
